Open Question: Problems with my 2002 Ford Windstar. What could it be?

I have a 2002 Ford Windstar. I took it in to have the latest recall work done on it and with in a week I noticed the o/d light started flashing. The cruise control doesn't work. The back power windows don't work and every time I go to have it checked the fuse for the computer is blown so I have to replace it. I had the code pulled off of it but, when I had it checked by a transmission guy he said it was fine and there were no problems. I have a feeling that every of these things tie in together somehow but either way I need to know what is wrong with my needy van. BTW it runs fine as long as you turn the o/d off while driving it. The only time it runs silly is if you don't turn o/d off it has problems shifting in and out of o/d. Please help me I don't know what to do!!!!!

Open Question: When you turn on the 'Circulation' for the AirCon in the car, does it just circulate the air in the car?

So, if you are in the car, aren't you just breathing in your possess carbon dioxide exhalation? How does the air circulation work inside the car? So does it make any difference if you are sitting in a car that's cruising on the road and a car that is just sitting still but in both cases the AC is turned on? I mean in these both cases, are we inhaling the air inside the car or do the air outside the car seep into the car through the ventilation or something? I heard from some people that if you snooze in the car while the A/C is running then you are going to die of shortage of oxygen but why is it that when the car is cruising, we don't die of the same effect?

Open Question: When checking your bags, do cruise lines care if you pack kinky or sexual objects in your bags?

My girlfriend and I are going on our first cruise together(Royal Caribbean if that matters) and naturally... yea.... I know handcuffs and stuff like that should be ruled out but I worry about things like the scented/edible massage oils. I'm sure the airport would worry because of the liquid container thing so I don't know if this would alarm them. Certainly though I don't want a stranger going through that nice of stuff and especially not taking it or getting in trouble for any of it. We've got: -Dice -A few tiny bottles of massage oil -One bigger bottle of massage oil -Box of condoms -Body Spray paint can(not sure if they'd consider that flammable or w.e but I'm sure it cant look worse than a bottle of hairspray which is more flammable obviously) -I was going to bring tea lights but not real ones because they don't want candles, it would be the battery ones but I'm not sure if they would allow that. Anyone have any experience with any of that stuff? Please no rude responses, I'm not looking for your judgements, I could care less. Just trying to receive some information.

Open Question: i feel like I belong in a different time?

I'm a 14 year old girl from Canada. I've been fascinated in ancient rome, ever since i could i remember. I have very Italian features, (black curly hair, dark brown eyes, pale olive skin, but in the summer i become very dark. straight pointy nose, thin figure but with big breasts.) I find men more attractive while wearing tunics, I remember one halloween my 16 year old brother dressed up as Julius Caesar and he looked strikingly handsome. I had never thought of him as attractive until that night. I went on a mediterranean cruise 2 years ago. The moment i set foot in rome i felt like i was home? it was an odd feeling. Despite it being at least 30 celsius i don't seem to remember it being as hot as my family does. I was wearing gladiator sandals at the time, and the feeling and sound of them on the cobble stones, and marble floors felt so amazing. I also adore lose light fabrics, and i HATE wearing anything thick and tight. Which is also why i hate Canadian winters. My family is planning on going back on another cruise, but to different destinations. The port is rome, and when i heard that was so excited! I cant wait, i've already planned everything. Even though the cruise is not for another year (june 2011) Women back in ancient rome would have had planned marriages and would have been married as young as 12 years old. But i feel like i want to be married now at 14 (every my friends think i'm crazy when i tell them that). I feel like i belong in ancient Rome, it's odd. And I do understand it would have been a frightening time. anyway, maybe i'm crazy. Maybe every the historical fiction has gone to my head. My question is, do you think i'm crazy? and have you ever felt this way before?

Open Question: My 2003 Honda Civic LX cruise control turns on and works for a short distance, but then it shuts off?

It jerks just before it shuts off, it won't reset unless you turn off and on the main switch. It will work for a little while, but the problem repeats itself. I checked the brake switch and it works good. what else could be the problem?

Open Question: Teens: Would you have said sorry too?

Alright...I'll try to explain this quick. I am a Senior in high school and I go to a private Christian school, about half of them at the school are very religious. I'm not super religious, I don't go to church or anything but I believe in God and I believe Jesus died and rose again. My brother is female to male transgendered married to another male. Now since you know that, I was cruising through the facebook page where it shows what your other friends have been doing. I came across my teachers post and he said "EWWWWW!! I'm not meaning to do that but EWWWWWWWW!!" Something along the lines of that. I wanted to read the comments even though I wasn't on the original posters text where it was about the original poster saying that he just met this famous guy who was homosexual. One person called him (the famous guy) a "f-g" the original poster said that he agreed with them. Then this lady posted and said "WTF! Soo wat cause my boyfriend is trans (female to male) and some of my friends are gay and my sisters a lesbian that would make me less than u guys as well?! Thats EXACTLY the close mindedness that gets people killed!" After that was when my teacher posted the comment..I felt so bad, and I would have felt so guilty if I didn't say sorry to the person that was told every the hurtful comments, so I messaged her and said I was sorry for what they every said, that I have a transgendered brother so I know somewhat what she is going through with people being hurtful, and I asked her not to tell anyone because the person who posted below her was my teacher from my private school. She said thanks for being so nice and considerate, so I feel good. Should I have said sorry? I'm a Christian, but I really don't want to be so hurtful to people. It hurt me seeing her being hurt by people who I know.

Open Question: Air Sickness :( Tips?

I'm nearly 18 and I still receive travel sickness. Not so much in cars or buses anymore, but I do on boats (cruises.) I haven't really grown out of it although have become slightly better. Sure, on flights I have been able to not be sick (8 hours flights/5 hours flighs etc. But in 2 days I'm going to fly with my boyfriend, I can't be sick! It would be awful! Especially as his mom who lives in the country we're flying to is picking us up from the airport. Vomit every over my clothes, I think not! Any tips? We can sit anywhere on the plane, I'm not going to eat much. I hate taking off, I'm probably gonna hold tight onto my boyfriend. It's just the turbulence I'm worried about, that sparks off my sickness. We're going to a hot country and it's summer so hopefully there won't be too much.. right? Any tips? Help! :(

So yes, were going on a cruise in a couple months, and I'm not fat, well im average, my BMI is like 22, so im fine in that area, but i have like grab-able flab around my belly. I just want to loose a little so i can look good on this cruise. I recently started that no sugar diet with my mum, but i cant look it working. For one, its impossible to eat 0% sugar, and I am always hungry, so always eating. Any good ideas to help me out? I am pretty active, so I just need to receive my food right. Please help!

Open Question: Where to visit in Latin America (Spanish Speaking countries in General)?

Hello I have been to a couple spanish speaking countries on cruises (Puerto Rico, Mexico,Belize) and I have spent about a month in the Dominican Republic and enjoyed the culture, food, beer, women, music, and water activities the entire time. I had the mix of colmados, tiny remote towns and campos where I could receive to know the locals and laying on the beach but also the nightlife of the cities when I visited. I wanted to receive suggestions on a cheap (or just very affordable) place in South America, Central America or possibly the Caribbean that would provide those same features. I'm looking for advice from seasoned travels, I adore water activities, historical tourist sights, hiking a bit, beaches, music, concerts but also home cooked meals, local beer and people and nice of living their daily life, I would like to experience new cultures and have an option to travel almost anywhere around Dec 17- Jan 3 (I guess the cheapest destinations might be where this is the off-season). Help would be much appreciated thanks!

Who should I read about for school? I'm so excited. I start high school in a couple weeks and I am supposed to read a biography or autobiography and be ready to talk or write about it on the first day. I have a cruise for a full week starting Friday and then a week after that then school. I don't know who to read about and I cant find any short books. I don't want a baby book, but just a short one like Night by Eli Wiesel. I read that last school year so I probably dont wanna read that again. Open Question: How did all of you mommys out there lose your pregnancy weight?

I had my daughter almost 9 months ago and I was doing great at first. I lost every the baby weight within about 3 months and could even fit into jeans I haven't fit in since my Sophomore year in high school! But, my reality check came in and I gained it every back. Within a month of losing every of it. I'm just curious what you mommys did to lose weight. I am going on a cruise soon and I want to look good! Also I am a very picky eater and I really can't do any of those fancy diets like nutrisystem or anything. I tried and I just couldn't eat their food. I am open to hear about any successful people who used diet pills and they actually worked.

Open Question: Birth control: will it stop my period?

My question may be a little misleading, I obviously know how my birth control works as I have been on the patch for quite some time. However I have been off it for the past 2 months. I am due to receive my period at the begining of next week right on time for my cruise. My question really is, if I put a patch on now will it delay my period while I'm away, and then when I receive home remove the patch in order to receive my period?

Open Question: do I have an electrical problem?

Okay my car has a couple of problems and they may be related, not sure. When I first bought my car 3 weeks ago the blinkers weren't working right. For example I clicked the switch to the right and the lights would blink way too quick and at the same time there was a weird noise coming from the dashboard. It sounded like morse code. Now just recently my brake light came on. Sometimes it turns off but most of the time it is on. At the same time my cruise control stopped working. I don't know if they're every related in some way. Any insight would be helpful

Open Question: what is wrong with my 1998 bmw 540i?

i have a 1998 bmw 540i. i've had the car for half a year and the engine keeps shutting off on me. these are the symptoms and these symptoms are becoming more and more frequent. symptoms: 1. when i turn on my car, the engine starts up but doesn't stay running. it supposed to have the initial warm up rev, jumping from 0 rpm to 1000+ rpm and stay there... but sometimes it just goes to 1000+ rpm and just shuts off in less than a second. when that happens, i have to step on the gas a few times and make it rev to 4000+rpm for it to stay on. after i receive it on again and it stays on, i would odor alot of gas. 2. sometimes i would be cruising to a cease and when i'm slowing down almost close to a cease, the engine would close off on me. 3. i would be at a cease and my car would be sitting there in idle when the engine would turn off. 4. when i'm cruising on the freeway, the engine would randomly drop from 3000+ rpm down to idle rpm, or maybe even want to close off again. the miles per gallon meter would also point out that when it drops rpm, the meter would read a significant increase in gas consumed, every the way down to the bottom at 8 miles per gallon. when this happens, i would cease on the gas pedal really difficult, and after 1 second, the rpm would jump back to cruising rpm. could every these symptoms mean there is something wrong with my car computer?

Im looking into these two as my main choices for university. Which nautical institute do you think is better? If at every possible I would like to attend the Coast Guard and after my 4 years of service work on cruise ships, but I dont know how the coast guard college accreditation is viewed within the cruise industry or worldwide.
